Privacy policy
Last updated: 28 October 2026
The short version: your maps and transcripts are stored in your own browser, not on our servers. We only keep something when you sign in with Google to share a map: your name and email, and a copy of the map you shared. No ads, no tracking, and we never sell anything.
Who we are
TranscriptGems is made by Koen Cramer in the Netherlands, who is responsible for your data. Questions, or want something deleted? Email cramermusicproductions@gmail.com.
Your maps and transcripts stay in your browser
When you add a call, its transcript, its gems and your maps are saved in your browser's own storage on your device. They are not sent to us. Someone else using your device and browser could see them. You can delete everything at any time in the app: My maps, then Delete all maps and transcripts.
Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini
To find the gems, you copy a prompt with your transcript and paste it into a chat of your own with Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini. TranscriptGems doesn't send your transcript to them, or to us: you do, in your own account, under that service's privacy terms.
Signing in with Google
You only need to sign in to share a map. When you do, Google gives us your name, email address and profile picture. We use them to know which shared maps are yours, to show "Shared by" with your name on a map you share, and to understand who uses TranscriptGems so we can make it better. We get no access to your Gmail, Drive or anything else in your Google account.
Maps you share
- Sharing a map puts a copy of it online, including its full transcripts, so the link works for others. Anyone with the link can see it. Links can't be guessed or found by searching.
- The copy is updated when you change the map, and we count how often the link is opened.
- Stop sharing (or deleting the map) deletes the copy, and the link stops working.
- Only share calls you have permission to share: transcripts can contain other people's names and words.
Who helps us run it
- Supabase stores accounts and shared maps.
- Vercel hosts the website and, like any web host, may log technical details such as your IP address to keep the site secure and running.
- Google handles sign-in, and Google Fonts delivers the letters you see, so your browser contacts Google.
We use no ads, no analytics and no tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
A shared map is kept until you stop sharing it or delete it. Your account (name, email, picture) is kept until you ask us to delete it: email us and we'll delete your account and your shared maps.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the data we have about you, or object to how we use it. Email us and we will answer within a month. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be on this page with a new date.
